Please see the following important information and conditions of business that you agree to when you book an appointment with Willow.
At your first appointment, there will be time allowed for a consultation. I will obtain succinct medical history to rule out any contraindications to massage and include lifestyle questions in order to tailor the massage to you at this time. This can take up to 20 minutes dependent on your health and lifestyle, please be aware this time is added to the end of your appointment so you get the time you have paid for on the table.
Massage is beneficial for most medical conditions, however with some conditions i.e. Cancer, Stroke, Heart Conditions or Major Surgery I may have to liaise with your GP prior to giving massage, I will need your consent to do this. If you think you may fall into this category please contact me to discuss your condition and/or any concerns prior to your first appointment.
Alcohol / Drugs
Please do not attend a massage appointment after consuming alcohol or illegal drugs, this would be counterproductive for your body, I would not be able to massage and you would still be liable for the cost.
Please arrive on time for your appointment, if you are running late, be courteous and let me know. If you are late this will impact your time on the table. If you are too late, I may not be able to accommodate you and half the cost of the appointment may still be incurred.
If you need to cancel an appointment please let me know as soon as possible, ideally no later than 24 hours prior to your appointment or dependent on the circumstance half the cost of the appointment may still be incurred.
My therapy room is a relaxing, private allocated space within Adelphi Mill. There is a cafe at the location open between 8am and 2pm Mon – Fri and also a gym, AW Muscle & Fitness, £5 per session. There is a waiting area on the ground floor and the mill is located on the canal for walks along the towpath.
During the Massage
If you want to provide feedback as we go, simply chat or completely switch off and not say a word, all are good, the massage is your time, I work with you and what helps you to feel comfortable and relaxed. Music will be playing quietly in the background however it can be switched off if you prefer.
Following the consultation and agreed massage plan, I will leave the room for you to prepare, we will have discussed which clothes to remove for the massage and your required position on the table. Following the massage, I will again leave the room for you to dress in private, when I return aftercare advice will be discussed.
I only use natural and organic oils.
